Questions parents ask about Kids Dentist Plus
What ages do you see?
We care for children from infancy through age 20, including patients with special health care needs. Plan your child's first visit within six months of the first tooth, and no later than the first birthday.
Do all offices accept Medi-Cal?
Yes. Every Kids Dentist Plus office sees children and teens with Medi-Cal. Call (916) 226-6767 with your child's dental plan name and member ID, and we'll confirm coverage before the visit.
What if my child is nervous about the dentist?
We explain each step in kid-friendly words, show tools before we use them and move at your child's pace. Toddlers can sit on a parent's lap for checkups, and laughing gas (nitrous oxide) can help anxious children relax.
How do I book an appointment?

Can I ask a dentist a quick question without coming in?
Yes. Teledentistry video visits let you talk with a licensed Kids Dentist Plus dentist from home, on a smartphone, tablet or computer. If your child needs hands-on care, we'll see you at the office closest to you.
